April 29, 2011 at 6pm – Spring Dine and Dance
Valley Lee Firehouse
Each year, the Optimist Club of Tall Timbers, 2nd District hosts a fundraising Spring Dine and Dance. Combining great food along with top rated music from “The Wanderers” band sets the stage for a fun evening. Everyone seems to remember that our proceeds are geared toward helping kids of our community and they have fun while donating to our causes. A definite portion of our Dine and Dance proceeds is gifted to Hospice for Kids. The remaining is contributed throughout the year with many other local events such as: vacation bible school, kid’s fire prevention, youth football teams, and more.
Our menu consists of top round beef, Hawaiian chicken, and fried shrimp along with many side items and desserts. We receive only positive comments about our food. Our club also offers a full cash bar.
During the evening, we announce a few fundraising opportunities. We offer several generously donated items for silent auction. Local business and community members understand the significance of our organization’s mission and help us raise money. We also hold a 50/50 cash raffle during the night.
Each year, as we touch more community members through our charity, we seem to attract more volunteers and donations. This reassures our faith that we are doing right by the kids in our area.
