The Optimist of Tall Timbers 2nd District is dedicated to "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" through its local community service and outreach programs. Each Optimist group is independent and our 2nd District Optimists in St. Mary's County have several programs we have to help children in our area. From our Spring Dance to our Shop with a Cop program, to our Mentoring programs and Scholarships we strive to help kids reach their full potential.

We were just awarded 2011 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR by the Commission of People with Disabilities!

We have information out here on our programs, our events, as well as how you can help our community and sponsor our organization through volunteerism as well as donations. If you want to see us in action, check out our Events or browse our "Photos" area on this website. You can see from our Recipients stories how we positively impact our local community and enable success in our children.

Please also check out our Supporters opportunities including donations as well as volunteer opportunities. We need your help to help the children in our community become the best that they can be!
